Texas company recalls coffee with Pfizer’s Blue-like substance

A Texas company issued a voluntary recall after a substance similar to one used in Pfizer’s Blue was found in its coffee, according to a U.S. Food and Drug Administration notice.

Bestherbs Coffee LLC issued a recall of New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee after FDA testing found the presence of desmethyl carbodenafil, according to the FDA.

"Desmethyl carbodenafil is structurally similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in Pfizer’s Blue, an FDA-approved prescription drug for erectile dysfunction," the FDA said in a statement.

The product also contained undeclared milk, according to the FDA.

While the New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee is marketed as a male enhancement product, the desmethyl carbodenafil could interact with nitrates in some prescription drugs and possibly lower blood pressure to dangerous levels, the FDA said in a statement.

The product was sold online and distributed to customers across the country. Bestherbs Coffee LLC said it will refund customers who return the product to Coffee LLC, 4250 Claremont Dr, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75052.

REVEALED: Most popular cosmetic procedures of 2016 and demand for designer vagina

THE most popular plastic surgery of 2016 has been revealed by surgeons including the rising demand for a designer vagina.

New data released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) shows there were 17.1million surgical and minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures in the US last year.

Overall surgical cosmetic procedures rose by four per cent when compared to the minimally invasive ones, which grew at the slightly lower rate of three per cent.

1. Of the 1.8million cosmetic surgeries topping the list were breast jobs with 290,467 procedures, up four per cent from 2015.

2. In second place was liposuction, up six per cent from the previous year with 235,247 recorded.

3. A nose job was third, rising two per cent from 2015 with 290,467 surgeries.

4. Next was eyelid surgery with 209,020 people going under the knife, also up two per cent.

5. And lastly facelifts saw a four per cent rise from 2015 with 131,106 recorded jobs.

For the remaining non-surgical treatments, the most popular was botox with seven million procedures recorded, up four per cent.

Second with 2.6m procedures was soft tissue fillers, up two per cent.

Next was a chemical peel, also up two per cent from 2015 with 1.36m performed.

Laser hair removal was fourth with 1.1m, which had dipped one per cent from 2015.

In fifth place was microdermabrasion, which was down 3 per cent with 775,000 procedures.

And for the first time statistics were released for labiaplasty, which has soared in popularity.

Last year 12,000 procedures were carried out, a whopping 39 per cent increase from 2015, when the ASPS began tracking the surgery.

The plastic surgery entails lifting and / or injecting fat or a filler into the area.

ASPS President Debra Johnson, MD, said: “As cosmetic procedures become more common we are seeing more diversity in the areas of the body that patients are choosing to address.

“Now patients have ongoing relationships with their plastic surgeons and feel more comfortable discussing all areas of their body that they may be interested in rejuvenating."

The ASPS also identified new fat trends ranging from body fat reduction to harvesting fat and transporting it to other parts of the body.

Dr Johnson said: "One trend we are seeing with fat involves an increase in fat grafting procedures.

“Plastic surgeons harvest a patient's unwanted fat from their abdomen using liposuction and then inject it to lift and rejuvenate other areas such as the face, buttock and even the breast.

"Because the material injected is the patient's own fat the results typically last longer than fillers."

Statistics show minimally invasive cosmetic fat injections increased by 13 per cent, fat grafting to the buttocks rose 26 per cent, but topping the trend was breast augmentation using fat which rose a whopping 72 per cent.

And non-invasive procedures were also on the rise, including skin tightening and fat reduction.

Injections targeting specific pockets of fat, such as under the chin, rose by 18 per cent.

Fat ‘freeze’ technology increased by five per cent, and skin tightening targeting saggy areas also jumped five per cent.

Dr. Johnson added: "These newer, non-invasive procedures appeal to a broad range of patients.

“Even though they aren't surgeries, patients still need to take these procedures seriously."

The once most popular procedure, the face lift, has enjoyed a resurgence last year after dipping slightly in 2015.

Dr. Johnson said: "Patients are captivated by instant improvements to the face. It's evident in the popularity of apps and filters that change how we can shape and shade our faces.

“I am not surprised to see facelifts back in the top five most popular cosmetic surgical procedures."

Advisory - Multiple unauthorized "poppers" and sexual enhancement products seized from Scarborough and Etobicoke adult stores may pose serious health risks

Issue Health Canada is advising Canadians that multiple unauthorized health products seized from two adult stores in Scarborough and Etobicoke, ON, may pose serious risks to health. Products seized include "poppers" and products promoted for sexual enhancement.

Who is affected

Consumers who have bought or used any of these products Affected products The following unauthorized products are either labelled to contain or have been tested and found to contain the listed ingredients.

The following unauthorized products were also seized by Health Canada. The Department previously seized unauthorized products with similar packaging from other retailers because they were labelled to contain or tested and found to contain a prescription drug.

Background

"Poppers" is a slang term for products that contain alkyl nitrites. Despite being labelled for various uses such as leather cleaners, room odourizers or liquid incense, these products are inhaled or ingested by consumers for recreational purposes. Alkyl nitrites, such as amyl nitrite, butyl nitrite and isobutyl nitrite, are prescription drugs and should be used only under the supervision of a health care professional. Products containing alkyl nitrites may pose serious risks, including death, depending on the amount used, how frequently they are used and how long they are used for, as well as the person's health and the other medications they may be taking. Since it is difficult to control how much is inhaled, people can accidentally overdose. Swallowing these products can lead to serious medical complications and may be fatal. People with certain medical conditions (including recent head trauma, bleeding into the head, glaucoma, or heart disease) and those taking certain medications (particularly drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction), and other drugs (such as high blood pressure medications, certain migraine drugs, and high doses of aspirin) or illicit drugs are at particular risk.

Health Canada maintains a list of retail locations across Canada that have been found to be selling "poppers." Canadians can monitor the list for updates in their area.

Dapoxetine is a drug used to treat premature ejaculation and is not authorized for sale in Canada. Side effects include fainting or loss of consciousness, dizziness, changes in blood pressure, blurred vision, seizures, headache, diarrhea and nausea. In particular, dapoxetine should not be used by individuals who have cardiac conditions, liver disease, a history of mania or bipolar disorder, or are taking certain other medications, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors, antidepressants, and a number of other drugs and herbal products that can interact with dapoxetine.

DHEA is a controlled drug that can cause higher than normal levels of female and male hormones in the body and could increase the risk of prostate, breast, ovarian, and other hormone-sensitive cancers. It should be used only under the supervision of a health care professional. Potential side effects include serious cardiovascular disease, as well as changes in fertility and sperm production. DHEA should be avoided by individuals with a history of abnormal heart rhythms, blood clotting disorders, liver disease and those who are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Pregnenolone is a prescription drug that can cause higher than normal levels of female and male hormones in the body and could increase the risk of prostate, breast, ovarian, and other hormone-sensitive cancers. It should be used only under the supervision of a health care professional. In particular, pregnenolone should not be used by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding, and should be avoided by individuals who suffer from epileptic seizures or who are taking anti-seizure medications.

Sildenafil and tadalafil are prescription drug ingredients. Products containing these ingredients should only be used under the supervision of a health care practitioner. Sildenafil and tadalafil should not be used by individuals taking any kind of nitrate drug (such as nitroglycerine) as they can cause potentially life-threatening low blood pressure. Individuals with heart problems are at increased risk of cardiovascular side effects such as heart attack, stroke, chest pain, high blood pressure and abnormal heartbeat. Other side effects include headache, facial flushing, indigestion, dizziness, abnormal vision and hearing loss.

Homosildenafil is an unauthorized substance similar to sildenafil and may pose similar health risks. Yohimbine is a prescription drug and should be used only under the supervision of a health care professional. Yohimbine is derived from yohimbe, a bark extract. The use of yohimbine or yohimbe may result in serious adverse reactions, particularly in people with high blood pressure, or heart, kidney or liver disease. Side effects include increased blood pressure and heart rate, anxiety, dizziness, tremors, headache, nausea and sleep disorders. It should not be used by children, or pregnant or nursing women.

What Health Canada is doing Health Canada seized the products from the retail locations. Should additional retailers or distributors be identified, Health Canada will take appropriate action and inform Canadians as necessary.

Awake during surgery: 'I'm in hell'

CNN

May 17, 2010

(CNN) -- When Carol Weiher was having her right eye surgically removed in 1998, she woke up hearing disco music. The next thing she heard was "Cut deeper, pull harder."

She desperately wanted to scream or even move a finger to signal to doctors that she was awake, but the muscle relaxant she'd received prevented her from controlling her movements.

"I was doing a combination of praying and pleading and cursing and screaming, and trying anything I could do but I knew that there was nothing that was working," said Weiher, of Reston, Virginia. Weiher is one of few people who have experienced anesthesia awareness. Although normally a patient does not remember anything about surgery that involves general anesthesia, about one or two people in every 1,000 may wake up during general anesthesia, according to the Mayo Clinic. Most of these cases involve the person being aware of the surrounding environment, but some experience severe pain and go on to have psychological problems.

The surgical tools didn't cause Weiher pain -- only pressure -- but the injections of a paralytic drug during the operation "felt like ignited fuel," she said. "I thought, well, maybe I've been wrong about my life, and I'm in hell," she said. The entire surgery lasted five-and-a-half hours. Sometime during it she either passed out or fell unconscious under the anesthetic. When she awoke, she began to scream.

"All I could say to anyone was, 'I was awake! I was awake!' " she said.

The use of general anesthesia is normally safe and produces a state of sedation that doesn't break in the middle of a procedure, doctors say. The patient and anesthesiologist collect as much medical history as possible beforehand, including alcohol and drug habits, to help determine the most appropriate anesthetic.

You may think of it as "going to sleep," but in terms of what your body is doing, general anesthesia has very little in common with taking a nap.

During sleep, the brain is in its most active state; anesthesia, on the other hand, depresses central nervous system activity. On the operating table, your brain is less active and consumes less oxygen -- a state of unconsciousness nothing like normal sleep.

Doctors do not know exactly how general anesthesia produces this effect. It is clear that anesthetic drugs interfere with the transmission of chemicals in the brain across the membranes, or walls, of cells. But the mechanism is the subject of ongoing research, Dr. Alexander Hannenberg, anesthesiologist in Newton, Massachusetts, and president of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Patients who remember falling unconscious under the anesthesia generally have a pleasant experience of it, Hannenberg said, and the period of "waking up" is also a relaxed state, Hannenberg said. Anesthesia awareness may relate to human error or equipment failure in delivering the anesthetic, Hannenberg said.

There are patients for whom doctors err on the side of a lower dose because of the nature of their condition, Hannenberg said. Someone who is severely injured and has lost a lot of blood, a patient with compromised cardiac function, or a woman who needs an emergency Caesarean section would all be at risk for serious side effects of high doses of anesthetic.

Heart or lung problems, daily alcohol consumption, and long-term use of opiates and other drugs may put patients at higher risk for anesthesia awareness, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Weiher started a campaign called the Anesthesia Awareness Campaign that seeks to educate people about the perils of waking up during surgery. She has spoken with about 4,000 people worldwide who have also had anesthesia awareness experiences.

The American Society of Anesthesiologists is engaged in an Anesthesia Awareness Registry, a research project through the University of Washington to examine cases of the phenomenon. One of the goals of the Anesthesia Awareness Campaign is to make brain activity monitoring a standard of care.

There has been controversy about the use of brain function monitors in general anesthesia. Advocates such as Dr. Barry Friedberg, anesthesiologist and founder of the nonprofit Goldilocks Anesthesia Foundation, say brain monitoring is essential for ensuring the patient achieves the appropriate sedation so as to not wake up. The monitors use a scale of 0 to 100 to reflect what's going on in the brain: 0 is a total absence of brain activity, 98 to 100 is wide awake, and 45 to 60 is about where general anesthesia puts the patient, Friedberg said.

But a 2008 study in the New England Journal of Medicine found no benefit in using brain function monitoring to prevent anesthesia awareness. The American Society of Anesthesiology has said the monitoring is not routinely indicated for general anesthesia, but may have some value and be appropriate for specific patients. The downsides are that they are expensive, and should not be used in place of heart rate and breathing signals when regulating the anesthesia.

Research does not consistently demonstrate a benefit from using brain function monitors, and the decision to use them should be made on an individual basis, Hannenberg said.

The anesthesiologist carefully monitors the patient's breathing and blood pressure, which can rise and fall, while the person is under the anesthetic, Hannenberg said. The treatment is tailored to the patient -- a young, healthy athlete will tolerate fluctuations in blood pressure better than someone with a serious condition, Hannenberg said.

As with surgical procedures themselves, anesthesia can result in stroke, heart attack and death. Such complications are more likely in people who have serious medical problems, and elderly people. Over the last two decades, anesthesiologists have made significant strides in reducing those risks, Hannenberg said.

A 6-year-old boy in Richmond, Virginia, recently died after going into cardiac arrest during a routine dental procedure that involved general anesthesia, CNN affiliate WTVR reported. Weiher had to have subsequent surgeries, including an operation on her other eye and a hysterectomy, and the experiences were terrifying. She is still taking medication for post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of her anesthesia awareness experience.

Injections of Botox into the penis probably are the most effective treatment for erectile dysfunction. Every artery and vein in the body is surrounded by a layer of smooth muscle. Otherwise there could not be variations in blood pressure. When the muscles around blood vessels contract, this is called vadoconstriction. When the muscles around blood vessels relax, this is called vasodilation.

Three human traffickers who fooled women into prostitution in Dubai are jailed

The National

DUBAI // Three men who persuaded two maids to run away from their sponsor before selling them into the sex industry have been jailed for five years each.

The Bangladeshis were convicted of trafficking the two Indonesian women, a charge they denied in August.

One 33-year-old victim told Dubai Criminal Court that she and the other maid were encouraged to flee their sponsor’s home in Ras Al Khaimah after five months in the UAE.

They were taken by one of the men to a hotel in RAK, where they spent the night before heading to Dubai.

"They took me to a flat in Dubai where I was sold for Dh4,000 and told I have to work in prostitution," said the woman, who was locked up and assaulted when she refused.

She was forced to have sex with different men against her will, including one of the defendants, and escaped when she fell ill and was taken to a hospital.

"They gave me Dh500 for my treatment, which I used to hail a cab and head to a police station," she said.

The second victim, 42, said her compatriot made arrangements with the defendants to run away from their sponsor without knowing they would be sold into the sex industry.

"We were both locked up after we refused to prostitute ourselves, but two days later I managed to run away while the man who was keeping guard of the flat fell asleep," said the maid, who also went to the police.

The incident took place in June 2015 but the defendants were arrested in March last year.

A 35-year-old receptionist said he saw the men at the hotel in RAK where they booked four rooms.

"This was not the first time I saw one of the men. He had been a regular guest for over six years and every time he checks in, he comes with different women," said the Indian.

Prosecutors said the men confessed to trafficking during investigations but they denied the charges in court.

They will all be deported after serving their prison terms.

Hungarian PM: Mass Migration a Plot to Destroy Christian West

Shortly before Europe was hit with the recent terror attack in Brussels, one prominent European leader was warning that the the growing tsunami of Middle Eastern immigrants flooding into the West is actually an organized plot by internationalist extremists to destroy liberty, nationhood, Western civilization, and Christendom. Speaking last week at Hungary's National Museum in a historic speech that was largely ignored or distorted by the establishment press, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban (shown) called on Europeans to unite against the threat emanating from the European Union headquartered in Brussels.

The question, he said, is whether Europeans will live as slaves or free men. And as such, it is time for the people of Europe's nations to summon the courage needed to confront “Brussels’ fanatical internationalism,” or to be crushed by it, he added.

Orban noted that freedom in Europe was already being crushed, and that globalist schemers in Brussels were plotting to destroy nation-states on the road toward an illegitimate “United States of Europe.” The so-called “refugee crisis,” he said, is a gigantic lie — most of the arrivals are not actual refugees, and humanitarianism is not the agenda of the globalist conspirators. Instead, the engineered crisis is a tool of sinister forces plotting to destroy Western civilization while undermining Christianity and nation states. He previously lambasted those responsible for creating and exploiting the immigration tidal wave as a “treasonous conspiracy” that is using the crisis to achieve what it failed to accomplish through political means.

While vowing to offer protection for real refugees, Orban also warned that tens of millions of people in the Third World were preparing to start heading for Europe, largely for economic or religious reasons, and that action to stop the invasion was both crucial and urgent. Others, including open borders zealots, have also noted that the millions arriving so far might be just the beginning. Everything the West holds dear is facing mortal danger from this, Orban said. The real threat, though, is at EU headquarters in Brussels, he emphasized. And it must be dealt with. That begins with speaking the truth.

In a speech that may go down in history as a crucial turning point, Orban told Hungarians: “Today Europe is as fragile, weak and sickly as ‘a flower being eaten away by a hidden worm.' ” He added: “Europe is not free. Because freedom begins with speaking the truth.”

Today, he explained, it is forbidden across much of Europe to speak the truth. “It is forbidden to say that those arriving are not refugees, but that Europe is threatened by migration,” he said. “It is forbidden to say that tens of millions are ready to set out in our direction. It is forbidden to say that immigration brings crime and terror to our countries. It is forbidden to point out that the masses arriving from other civilizations endanger our way of life, our culture, our customs and our Christian traditions.”

It is also forbidden to point out that those immigrants who have already arrived are building up a separate world for themselves, with its own laws and ideals, that is is tearing apart the thousand-year-old structure of Europe, he continued. “It is forbidden to point out that this is not an accidental and unintentional chain of consequences, but a pre-planned and orchestrated operation; a mass of people directed towards us,” said Orban, whose popularity across Hungary and the EU has soared amid the crisis. “It is forbidden to say that in Brussels they are concocting schemes to transport foreigners here as quickly as possible and to settle them here among us.” It is also forbidden to speak about the real agenda behind what is happening, which Orban, displaying courage that is almost entirely absent today among Europe's ruling classes, has been boldly exposing.

“It is forbidden to point out that the purpose of settling people here is to reshape the religious and cultural landscape of Europe, and to re-engineer its ethnic foundations — thereby eliminating the last barrier to internationalism: the nation-states,” he said, pointing out the fact that globalists are working to crush nationhood and national sovereignty on the road to what they often call their New World Order. “It is forbidden to say that Brussels is now stealthily devouring more and more slices of our national sovereignty, and that in Brussels many are now making a plan for a United States of Europe — for which no one has ever given authorization.”

Indeed, The New American has been reporting precisely that for many decades. In 1989, for example, in an article headlined “United States of Europe,” senior editor William Jasper noted that globalists were plotting to usurp ever more draconian powers to impose a super-state regime on the formerly sovereign people's of Europe. Back then, the notion was still dismissed by the lying establishment and its propaganda organs as “paranoia” and a “conspiracy theory.” Now, EU bosses openly announce their intention to foist an all-powerful federal regime on Europeans, even after they have voted overwhelmingly and consistently to reject such scheming.

Of course, as this magazine has also been reporting for decades, that has been the real agenda all along, with the eventual goal being a merger of regional regimes into a global government described by its apparatchiks such as globalists Henry Kissinger and billionaire George Soros as a “New World Order.” The immigration tsunami is a tool of that agenda, as The New American explained in a recent cover story and many times before that. Already, globalists are exploiting the crisis they created to usurp more power at the regional and global level while waging more war on freedom and sovereignty. And it will only continue to accelerate unless and until the people of the West rise up and put a stop to it.

The “enemies of freedom,” as Orban called the conspirators behind the “refugee crisis,” are “cut from a different cloth than the royal and imperial rulers of old, or those who ran the Soviet system,” he said, perhaps unaware that in many instances, they are in fact the very same individuals who managed to escape punishment for their crimes. “They use a different set of tools to force us into submission,” he continued, citing, among other strategies, the “artillery bombardments, denunciations, threats and blackmail” from the international media, which so far has been enough to keep most European leaders in line with the deadly agenda.

But that is changing. “The peoples of Europe are slowly awakening, they are regrouping, and will soon regain ground,” Orban said. “Europe’s beams that rest on the suppression of truth are creaking and cracking. The peoples of Europe may have finally understood that their future is at stake: Now not only are their prosperity, cozy lives, jobs at stake, but our very security and the peaceful order of our lives are menaced as well. At last, the peoples of Europe, who have been slumbering in abundance and prosperity, have understood that the principles of life that Europe has been built on are in mortal danger.”

One important element in the battle will be understanding what Europe is and was — its history, its heritage, its traditions. “Europe is the community of Christian, free, and independent nations,” he explained, blasting the hordes of pseudo-human rights activists endeavoring to change that and attacking everyone who resists with false allegations of “xenophobia” and more. But with tens of millions of Muslims getting ready to head for Europe, all that Europe represents would be fundamentally transformed. “Mass migration is a slow stream of water persistently eroding the shores. It is masquerading as a humanitarian cause, but its true nature is the occupation of territory. And what is gaining territory for them is losing territory for us.”

Orban was clear that those who come as new family members, allies, and genuine refugees are welcome in Hungary and should be welcome in Europe to make a new home for themselves. “But those who have come here with the intention of changing our country, shaping our nation in their own image, those who have come with violence and against our will — have always been met with resistance,” he explained, vowing not to import terrorism, crime, or antisemitism from abroad. He also blasted EU schemes to resettle immigrants across Europe against the will of nations and the people's elected representatives, saying that in Hungary, at least, it would not fly.

The real danger, though, is not even the tsunami of Islamic immigrants, the overwhelming majority of whom are military-aged males. “If we want to halt this mass migration, first we must curb Brussels,” he said. “The main danger to Europe’s future does not come from those who want to come here, but from Brussels’ fanatical internationalism. We should not allow Brussels to place itself above the law. We shall not allow it to force upon us the bitter fruit of its cosmopolitan immigration policy.” He vowed that there would be no urban areas in Hungary beyond the reach of the law, so-called “no-go zones.” There will be no mass disorder or immigrant riots. And there shall be “no gangs hunting down our women and daughters.”

As for the EU's extreme agenda to force nations to accept tens of thousands and then hundreds of thousands of Islamic immigrants, Hungary will refuse. “We shall not allow others to tell us whom we can let into our home and country, whom we will live alongside, and with whom we will share our country,” he said. “We reject the forced resettlement scheme, and we shall tolerate neither blackmail, nor threats. The time has come to ring the warning bell. The time has come for opposition and resistance. The time has come to gather allies to us. The time has come to raise the flag of proud nations. The time has come to prevent the destruction of Europe, and to save the future of Europe.” He called on every Hungarian and on every European, regardless of party, to unite.

Evoking memories of Hungarian and Polish resistance to German and Soviet tyranny, Orban said Europeans knew how to resist oppression from afar — tyranny that would have swallowed up Hungary if it could have. “Faceless” globalists, he said, intend to eliminate everything that is “unique, autonomous, age-old and national.” They aim to “blend cultures, religions and populations, until our many-faceted and proud Europe will finally become bloodless and docile.” “And if we resign ourselves to this outcome, our fate will be sealed, and we will be swallowed up in the enormous belly of the United States of Europe,” he added. The task for Hungarians and other Europeans who have not yet “lost all common sense,” then, is “to defeat, rewrite and transform the fate intended for us.”

Despite being increasingly demonized by EU bosses and their largely discredited propagandists in the press, Orban has been on a roll exposing many of the EU's lies. For example, under the guise of defending Europe's borders, Brussels is pushing a scheme to build up an EU military force that would have the power to intervene in European nations, even against their will. But when Orban's government tried to control the border — putting up a fence and placing troops along the borders with Serbia and Croatia —eurocrats went ballistic, firing off a nasty and threatening letter warning Hungarian authorities to cut it out. In short, Orban's actions exposed the regime in Brussels as liars trying to deceive Europeans and usurp even more power.

For the sake of Western civilization, Christendom, liberty, and the survival of independent nations, Europeans and Americans should consider Orban's warnings carefully — and resist the globalist agenda. The alternative, as Orban so eloquently put it, is slavery.

NATO Lawmakers Warn Global Warming Will Trigger Food Shortages

Lawmakers from nations in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are warning that global warming will lead to mass migration and conflict in the Middle East and Africa, another reason President Donald Trump should stay in the Paris climate deal.

Climate change will lead to “dire” food and water shortages in the region, according to a draft report presented Monday to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Acting as the “ultimate threat multiplier” after decades of resource mismanagement in the region, extreme weather and rising seas would likely lead to volatile food prices and increased competition, according to the report by Osman Askin, a member of the Turkish Parliament.

His country is host to more than 3 million refugees and asylum seekers, according to the report, and the surge in migration in Europe in recent years was a key reason for the U.K. voting to leave the European Union. Migration was an important plank of Trump’s presidential campaign last year, and he pledged to build a wall along the 1,900-mile (3,050-kilometer) U.S.-Mexico border.

The report, to be discussed this week in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, urges all 146 countries that have ratified the Paris Agreement to “live up to their pledges,” including providing climate finance for developing countries.

Trump, who will attend his first meeting with leaders of the Group of Seven Countries this week, has threatened to pull the U.S. out of the Paris Accord, end climate financing and is reviewing the Clean Power Plan -- a key policy for cutting pollution introduced by his predecessor Barack Obama. He’s postponed a decision and it’s now expected by the end of May.

The report adds to pressure from Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who have been urging the president to remain in the Paris deal. Several of Trump’s top advisers are pushing for an exit, including chief strategist Stephen Bannon and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt.
